A regional touristic celebration held on Holy Saturday, featuring folk groups from the region and Portugal showcasing traditional costumes and music in the vibrant Plaza Mayor. A unique display of Salamanca's folk culture not to be missed.

LA CHARRADA PROGRAMME 2023

  • 10.00 h Parade of traditional drummers and dulzaineros through all the neighbourhoods of Cludad Rodrigo. 1200 h Exhibition of "doma vaquera charra salmantina" in the moat of the Puerta del Sol.
  • 12:30 h Parade of traditional drummers and dulzaineros, charros charras salmantinos on horseback from the moat of the Puerta del Sol to the Plaza Mayor.
  • 13:00 h Festival in the Plaza Mayor of the traditional dance groups of Ciudad Rodrigo: Aires Charros - Al Son del Tamboril Botón Charro - Roble Charro.
  • 17:00 h FESTIVAL DE LA CHARRADA where the music, dances and traditional costumes of the regions of Salamanca will be shown by their most genuine performers, and regions from other related regions.
