From the second Saturday in November until the following Wednesday, Benidorm's Fiestas Mayores are held, with fireworks displays, musical performances, parades and processions.

MAJORS PATRONALS FESTES PROGRAM 2023

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10

6:00 p.m. – INAUGURATION OF THE ARTISTIC LIGHTING, on Martínez Alejos Street, by our Senior Queen, Miss Angélica Morenilla Such and our Children's Queen, the girl Daniela Talavera Ventura, together with her Courts of Honor.
Next, INAUGURATION of the traditional PORRAT on the Emilio Ortuño road.

7:00 p.m. - INAUGURATION OF THE FAIR GROUND, located next to the bullring, by our Queens of the Major Festivals and their Courts of Honor.

NOTE: Popular Children's Day, with reduced prices to access the different attractions.

7:00 p.m. - STREET AND PEÑAS DECORATION COMPETITION, sponsored by the 2023 Patronal Major Festivals Commission and the Association of Peñas. The jury will visit the participating neighborhoods, streets and clubs to be able to evaluate them and vote for the best, whose winners will be announced at midnight on Saturday during the concert intermission.

10:00 p.m. - PEÑAS ENTRANCE. Parade of the clubs that are part of the Associació de Penyes Verge del Sofratge, along Calle Ruzafa and Martínez Alejos.

At the end of the tour, in the official gallery, the Associació de Penyes will impose the bowties on all the flags and banners.

SATURDAY, November 11

10:00 a.m. - HOLY MASS in the Parish Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana in honor of our Excma. Patroness, the Virgin of Suffrage, officiated by the parish priest Don Juan Antonio González Magaña and Don Carlos Daniel Mejías, vicar of the parish, and sung by the La Barqueta Recreational Cultural Association and the Parish Choir, with the assistance of the Queens and their Courts of Honor, Festival Commission, Standard Bearer and family, Mayorales de Honor, Authorities, Associació de Penyes, and all the neighbors who want to accompany us.

11:45 a.m. - OPENING OF DOORS OF THE CHURCH OF SAN JAIME AND SANTA ANA to sing the Joys to the Virgin of Suffrage.

12:00 p.m. - ANGELUS AND GENERAL TURNING OF BELLS, announcing the official beginning of the Patron Saint Festivities 2023 accompanied by an Aerial Bombardment from the Plaza de la Señoría by the prestigious Pirotecnia del Mediterráneo.

1:00 p.m. - CONCENTRATION OF BANDS in the Plaza de SS. MM. The Kings of Spain, where each participating group will make their entrance performing different pasodobles to welcome the Festivities. The Queens, Angélica Morenilla Such and Daniela Talavera Ventura, will impose a bowtie on the flags of the different entities. Once all the bands are gathered in the square, joint interpretation of the Pasodoble “FESTA EN BENIDORM”, pasodoble declared Anthem of the Major Patronal Festivals, under the baton of maestro Don Rafael Domenech Pardo, author of the work.

5:00 p.m. - STAGE OF THE FINDING OF OUR PATRON, THE VIRGIN OF SUFRAGE, A FEAST OF TOURIST INTEREST OF THE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY, by the ACR La Barqueta, on Poniente beach. The representation, based on historical facts and following the text by Pere Maria Orts i Bosch, takes us to mid-March 1740 and recalls all the events that occurred then and that began with the meeting by three sailors from Benidorm of a ship that sailed without a crew and adrift and culminated with the proclamation of Our Lady Patroness.
At the end, the SALVOS OF HONOR AND A GRAND AIR BOMBARD will be fired, by the Mediterranean Pyrotechnics announcing the discovery of the image of our patron saint, the Virgin of Suffrage.

6:30 p.m. - SOLEMN PILGRIMAGE, presided over by the Authorities, Queen Mayor and Children, Courts of Honor, with the participation of the Standard Bearer, Crier, Mayorales of Honor, Mayorales and Mayoralas, ACR La Barqueta, Penyes, Festive, Cultural, Social and Religious Entities, Festivals Traditional, Regional Houses and other festive commissions of the city, and the entire Town of Benidorm, with the following itinerary: PArque de Elche, Paseo de la Carretera, Alameda del Alcalde Don Pedro Zaragoza Orts, Calle Mayor, and ending at the Plaza de San Jaime.
Upon arrival of the Pilgrimage at the doors of the Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana, OFFERING OF FLOWERS to the Virgin of Suffrage, Patroness and Perpetual Mayor of Benidorm.
Next, our Children's Queen, Daniela Talavera Ventura, will recite a verse to our Patroness, written by Vicenta Pérez Bayona, “Cuqui”. Afterwards, the Mayor Queen, Angélica Morenilla Such, will address a few words to the people of Benidorm.
Next, the OFFICIAL PREGION of the Major Patron Saint Festivities of Benidorm 2023, by Ms. María Magdalena Simarro Cantos.
The president of the Festival Commission, Vicente Solaz Gimeno, will address a few words to the public, closing the event with the Mayor of Benidorm and Illustrious President of the Alicante Provincial Council, Mr. Antonio Pérez Pérez.
Finally, interpretation of the anthems of Benidorm and the Valencian Community and the shooting of a BRANCH OF FIREWORKS from the Plaza de la Señoría by the Mediterranean Pyrotechnics.

11:00 p.m. - CONECTA2 ORCHESTRA in the Huerto de Colón.

11:30 p.m. - TRIBUTE CONCERT TO MECANO, in the Plaza de SS.MM. the Kings of Spain.

00:15 a.m. - From the Plaza de SS. MM. The Kings of Spain will have a CHARANGA, accompanied by the Festival Commission and anyone who wants to join in to tour the streets and rocks of Benidorm.

01:00 a.m. – BARN FOOTBALL. Organized by the Peña “I DEMÀ WHAT?” and sponsored by the ASSOCIACIÓ DE PENYES VERGE DEL SOFRATGE, in the Óscar Esplà auditorium. The winners will be in charge of organizing the 2024 Granera football.

SUNDAY, November 12, MARE DE DÉU DAY

8:00 a.m. - WAKE UP WITH “TRO DE BAC” in honor of the VIRGIN OF SUFRAGE. The tour will begin in the Plaza de SS. MM. the Kings of Spain.

9:00 a.m. - Popular CHOCOLATE offered by the Festival Commission in its tent, located in the Plaza de SS. MM. the Kings of Spain.

10:30 a.m. - Collection of the Queens of the Festivals and their Courts of Honor by the Mayorales of the Commission, accompanied by the music bands, to go in a parade to Calle de la Biga (Casa del Fester Diego Cano Enguera).
Once there, together with the Authorities of our city, parade in the direction of the Parish Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana.

11:00 a.m. – GREAT CHILDREN'S PARK in the Plaza de SS. MM. the Kings of Spain for all the children of our city.

11:30 a.m. - SOLEMN MASS IN HONOR OF OUR PATRON AND EXCMA. PERPETUAL MAYOR, THE VIRGIN OF SUFFRAGE, in the Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana officiated by Don. Miguel Ángel Cerezo Saura, parish priest of San Vicente Ferrer of San Vicente del Raspeig, vicar of evangelization, with the assistance of Queens, Ladies, Standard Bearer and family, Crier and family, Honorary Mayors, Authorities, Commission of Patronal Major Festivals, Association of Peñas and residents of Benidorm. The celebration of the Eucharist will be sung by the Camerata “”Ars Cantica” of Benidorm, and directed by its director Jaime F. Ripoll Martins.

12:00 p.m. - TASTING OF THE FOODTRUCK FROM THE MALASPINA RESTAURANT for the entire town of Benidorm, in the SS square. MM. the Kings of Spain
2:00 p.m. – GRANDIOSA pyro-digital MASCLETÁ dedicated to our Patroness and Mayor Perpetua, the Virgin of Suffrage on Avenida Jaime I, in charge of the prestigious pyrotechnics of the Mediterranean.
 
5:00 p.m. – CHILDREN’S THEATER “Magic World” in the Huerto de Colón for the little ones. At the end, a great children's snack offered by McDonald's in the Huerto de Colón.

7:30 p.m. - SOLEMN PROCESSION IN HONOR OF THE VIRGIN OF SUFFRAGE, with the assistance of civil and ecclesiastical Authorities, Queens and Ladies, Standard Bearer, Mayorales de Honor, Mayorales, Association of Peñas and people of Benidorm, starting at the Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana and with the following itinerary:
C/ Mayor, Avda. Alameda del Alcalde Don Pedro Zaragoza Orts, C/ Pintor Lozano, Avda. Virgen del Sufragio, Avda. Martínez Alejos, Paseo de la Carretera, C/ Santa Faz, C/ Mal Pas and Iglesia de San Jaime and Saint Ana.

At the end of the procession, lighting of the traditional Estampeta de la Virgen del Sufragio, in the Plaza de San Jaime.

11:00 p.m. - Emotional and traditional song of “COPLETES” in honor of the Virgin of Suffrage, to the rhythm of the xirimita and the tabalet, in the Plaza de San Jaime.

11:30 p.m. - GRAND MISSISSIPI ORCHESTRA in the Huerto de Colón.

00:00 h. – Magnificent CONCERT OF LOS MOJINOS ESCOZIOS in the Plaza de SS. MM. the Kings of Spain.

00:30 a.m. - BANDETA through the streets of the center of Benidorm sponsored by the Association of Peñas.

At the end of the concert, magnificent “CORREFOCS” by the “Colla de Dimonis Polopins” with the following itinerary: Calle Escuelas, Calle Ruzafa, Paseo de la Carretera and ending at Paseo Colón.

MONDAY, November 13, SANT JAUME'S DAY

11:30 a.m. - SOLEMN MASS IN HONOR OF OUR PATRON SAN JAIME APÓSTOL, patron saint of Benidorm, in the Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana. Officiated by Don. Miguel Ángel Schiller Villalba, parish priest of San José de Alfaz del Pi, with the assistance of Queens and Ladies, Standard Bearer and family, Crier and family, Honorary Mayorals, Authorities, festive and cultural entities, Commission of Patronal Major Festivals, Association of Peñas and residents of Benidorm. And sung by the parish choir and directed to the organ.

2:00 p.m. - THUNDERING pyro-digital MASCLETÀ dedicated to our Patron San Jaime Apóstol on Avenida Jaime I, in charge of the prestigious Pirotecnia del Mediterráneo.

4:30 p.m. - II VALENCIAN PILOT TOURNAMENT “PENYA GANDULS – EMPLOYEE MAJOR FESTIVALS”
Great game of PELOTA VALENCIANA by young pilotaris from the Marina Baixa organized by the Penya Ganduls on Médico Perez Martorell street, with the collaboration of the 2023 Patronal Major Festivals Commission.
5:00 p.m. – TRAVELING CHILDREN'S THEATER “The big party” in the Huerto de Colón, for the little ones, at the end, a great children's chocolate offered by the festival commission in the Huerto de Colón.

7:30 p.m. - SOLEMN PROCESSION IN HONOR OF SAN JAIME APÓSTOL, with the assistance of civil and ecclesiastical Authorities, Queens and Ladies, Standard Bearer and family, Mayorales de Honor, Mayorales, Association of Peñas and people of Benidorm, along the following itinerary:

. Once there, together with the Authorities of our city, parade in the direction of the Parish Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana.

10:30 a.m. - SOLEMN REQUIEM MASS in the Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana, in suffrage of the souls of all the deceased of Benidorm, officiated by the parish priest Don Juan Antonio González Magaña, accompanied by Authorities, Queens, Ladies of Honor and the Festival Commission , sung by the Parish Choir.
At the end of the mass, a laurel wreath will be offered before the monument to the Fallen at Sea, in the Plaza de la Señoría.
Next, the delegation will travel to visit the two Cemeteries of our city, that of the Virgen del Sufragio and that of San Jaime, where wreaths of flowers will also be laid in memory of our deceased and a response will be prayed for the Benidorm residents who are no longer They are among us.

WEDNESDAY, November 15

10:00 a.m. - Last POPULAR CHOCOLATE in the tent located in the Plaza de SS. MM. the Kings of Spain, offered by the Festival Commission.

11:00 a.m. - Coexistence of all the city's festive entities in the FESTA DE LES FESTES. Concentration in Plaza Neptuno and parade along Avda. Almendros, C/ Limones, C/ Tomás Ortuño, Paseo de la Carretera, C/ Herrerías and arrival at Plaza de SS. MM. The Kings of Spain, where they will be received by the Queens, Courts of Honor and the Festival Commission.
Next, in the Commission tent, wine of honor was held as an act of festive brotherhood.

1:00 p.m. – CHILDREN'S MASCLETÀ AND CANDY TRACA for the little ones, in the Plaza de SS. MM. The Kings of Spain.

2:00 p.m. - THUNDERING MASCLETÀ pyro-digital sponsored by the Association of Peñas on Avda. Jaime I, in charge of the Hermanos Sirvent pyrotechnics.

5:00 p.m. - CONCENTRATION on Avda. de Alcoy of the different Festive Entities and Associations with their respective music bands and floats.
6:00 p.m. - Beginning of the grandiose and MULTICOLOR FLOAT PARADE, from Avda. de Alcoy, to travel along Avda. de Martínez Alejos, Avda. de Ruzafa, C/Venus, C/ Marte, Avda. .
Festive entities and commissions, regional houses, clubs and social groups, as well as the Mayorales 2023, will participate in the parade.
The finishing touch will be the Queens of the Major Festivals, Angélica Morenilla Such and Daniela Talavera Ventura, along with their Courts of Honor.
At the end of the parade of floats, a spectacular culmination of our Patron Saint Festivities, with the firing of a LOUD AND NEW FIREWORKS CASTLE, by Pirotecnia el Mediterráneo, which will illuminate the sky of Benidorm.
