Madrid honours its patron saint, the Virgen de la Almudena, with processions, floral offerings and classical music concerts, not forgetting the typical dessert of these festivities known as the Corona de la Almudena.

IN THE CATHEDRAL CHURCH

  • 17:00, 18:00, 1900 and 20:00 hours

IN THE PARISH CRYPT

  • 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 18:30 and 19:30 hours

THE CATHEDRAL WILL BE CLOSED DURING THE PROCESSION

  • From 9:00 to 20:00 h. SOLIDARITY FLORAL OFFERING OF SCHOOLS IN THE PLAZA DE LA ALMUDENA.
    Collection of flowers and non-perishable foodstuffs.
  • 17:30 h. CONCERT BY THE ORFEÓN SOCIEDAD CONCIERTOS AYUNTAMIENTO DE MADRID.
  • 20:30 h. YOUTH VIGIL.

Wednesday, 9th November

  • 11:00 h. EUCHARIST IN ALMUDENA SQUARE. Procession to follow.
  • From 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. SOLIDARITY FLORAL OFFERING IN THE PLAZA DE LA ALMUDENA.
  • Collection of flowers and non-perishable foodstuffs.
