ROYAL FAIR PROGRAM OF AUGUST 2023

WEDNESDAY 23

ROYAL RIDE

• 12:30 pm Inauguration of the daytime fair with the fireworks and wine tasting from Bodega Cortijo La Fuente.
• Next, performance by the local artist “EL CEBRI”.

Musical setting by DJ MADRONA.

COURTYARD OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ANTEQUERA

• 9:00 p.m. Opening proclamation of the Royal Fair of August 2023.
• Concert by Rafael de Utrera and maestro Pedro Gordillo.
• The Mayor of Antequera, Mr. Manuel Jesús Barón Ríos, will officially name Mrs. ANTONIA JIMÉNEZ MORENO as Mayor of the Fiestas.
• The inaugural proclamation of the Royal August Fair will then take place, by D. PEDRO PABLO RUIZ PÉREZ.
• Once the proclamation is over, the fair's OPENING PASSACALLES will take place, with the following route: Plaza de San Sebastián, C/ Infante D. Fernando, Alameda de Andalucía, Avda. Periodista Ángel Guerrero and the
• Fairgrounds.
• Next, inauguration of the EXTRAORDINARY LIGHTING at the Fairgrounds.

FAIRGROUNDS

• 9:00 p.m. Musical atmosphere by DJ FRAN PODADERA.
• Once the extraordinary lighting is switched on, the ANDY AND LUCAS concert will take place. Free admission.
• After the concert, the party will continue with the local group MR. PAC-MAN.
• Have fun dancing to the best current music by DJ FRAN PODADERA.

THURSDAY 24

ROYAL RIDE

• Starting at 12:30 p.m. Musical setting by DJ MADRONA.
• 5:00 p.m. Musical performance by the local group AGÜITA'S BAND.
• 10:00 p.m. Copla concert by MARIBEL FERNÁNDEZ “LA CALETERA”.

FAIRGROUNDS

• 9:00 p.m. Musical atmosphere by DJ FRAN PODADERA.
• 24:00 RED BARON in concert. Free admission.
• 24:00 – 3:00 a.m. “THE LAST… AND WE RECYCLE”. Bring your material to recycle and take the "glass of the fair". Nightlife area.
• Next, a concert by the local group DOYER BAND, covering songs from the Spanish music scene.

ROYAL WALK.

Parade of horsemen and carriages

• 1:00 p.m. Start of the parade
  Participants are requested to come dressed correctly and with vidias on the horses.
  Itinerary: Corazón de María, Paseo M.ª Cristina, Puerta de Estepa, Alameda de Andalucía, Infante D. Fernando, Plaza San Sebastián, Encarnación, Calzada, Diego Ponce, Cantareros, Alameda de Andalucía, Puerta de Estepa and return to the Heart of María by Paseo Mª Cristina.

Enjoy the fair atmosphere every day in the booths in the center and on Paseo Real, from 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and, at night, the mechanical attractions, Andalusian booths, and youth booths at the Fairgrounds .
IMPORTANT NOTE: "CHILDREN'S DAY" will be celebrated on August 23 and 28, so the fairground attractions will have popular prices. Between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., people with autism spectrum disorders will be able to enjoy of a fair without noise.
