Program of Day of the Aurora

Year 2022

It celebrates: From 29th September to 7th October
Place: Montilla (Córdoba)

On dates when the chestnuts and walnuts return, in the early hours of Saturday morning to the Sunday closest to the day of the Patron Saint of Montilla, occasional groups, choirs, tunas and rondallas sing to the Virgen de la Aurora. Ending in serenades and passacaglias throughout the night.

Novena and Worship

From 29 September to 7 October 2022

  • At 19:30 h. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, recitation of the Holy Rosary and Novena.
  • At 20:30 h. Holy Mass.

Friday 7th October

  • From 9:30 h. Floral offering by the children of Montilla.

Saturday 8th October

  • Rosary of the Aurora at 7:30 h.
  • At 18:30 h. Holy Mass.
  • At 19:30 h. Procession through the streets of Montilla.
  • At 22:30 h. Serenade Night.

Sunday 9th October

  • At 10:00 h. Holy Mass.
  • At 13:00 h. Solemn Religious Function. By the Rev. D. Daid Reyes Guerrero, Parish Priest of San FRancisco Solano.
  • At 20:30 h. Holy Mass.
