One of the most famous and celebrated carnivals of the Mediterranean coast is the Carnival of Vinarós, declared of Tourist Interest. Batucadas, costume contests and spectacular parades await you.

Saturday February 4

  • From 6 to 6:30 p.m. In front of the Batet garage, concentration of banners, queens and kings, authorities, comparseros and comparseras.
    18:30 ARRIVAL OF SM CARNESTOLTES
  • From the old San Sebastián school, arrival of the Majesty of Ella Carnestoltes, with the show "Africa" by the Opera Tubus Ballet company. That will start the parade along the promenade, port area, Santa Magdalena street and País Valenciano avenue to the gardens of the Sant Francesc Convent.
  • 6:50 p.m. Reception in the gardens of the convent of Sant Francesc, by Esmuvi Batucada.
    PREGÓN, IMPOSITION OF TIES AND CHILDREN'S BANDS
    Proclamation by the actor and presenter from Vinaroz Javier Segarra, preacher of Carnival 2023.
    Next, bow ties to the banners of the comparsas and bands to the children's Queens and Kings of Carnival 2023. Collaboration: Family Cash Next, parade with Batucada Esmuvi and the Opera Tubus Ballet company, along San Francisco street to Plaza del Town Hall where the Mayor will present SM Carnestoltes with the key to the city and the queen and child king of the oldest and most recent troupe will raise the Carnival flag. Next, a parade with Ópera Tubus Ballet along Calle Mayor to the old San Sebastián school. Custody of banners in the Municipal Auditorium and continuation of the parade with His Majesty Carnestoltes, animated by ESMUVI, along the promenade, with queens and kings, to the Carnival site located on Paseo Fora Forat.
    Doors open at 9:00 p.m.
  • 9:15 pm GALA DINNER AND IMPOSITION OF BANDS
    Tent of the Carnival site.
    Gala dinner in honor of the queens and kings of Carnival.
    Then IMPOSITION OF BANDS to the Queens and Kings of Carnival 2023, presented by Javier Segarra.
  • 00:30 h Opening of doors, to the general public, of the awning
    POPULAR VERBENA enlivened by the TITANIC orchestra.

Sunday February 5

  • 6:30 p.m. CARNESTOLTES D'OR
    In the Wenceslao Ayguals de Izco Municipal Auditorium Exhibition of banners and act of awarding the honorary award of Carnestoltes d'Or 2023 to former presidents since the creation of the COC. Tribute In Memoriam to Toni Martínez.
  • Then, travel to the Batet garage where the inauguration of the temporary Carnival museum will take place.
    MUSEUM HOURS. Access to the museum is free and will have the following hours: from Monday, February 6 to February 20, mornings from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and afternoons from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    Collaborates: Deportes Moliner Bernad, Oversound, Aparicio Photography, Sandra Kids, Ritme, and all those individuals and comparsas that have selflessly contributed material for the exhibition.

Tuesday February 7

  • 18:00 Batet garage.
    CHILDREN'S DRAWING CONTEST AWARDS
    Awards Ceremony for the Vinaròs Carnival Children's Drawing Contest.
    Sponsor: Department of Education of the City of Vinaròs.
  • 6:30 p.m. Batet garage.
    AWARDS III WINDOW WINDOW COMPETITION
    Delivery of the PRIZES of the III CONTEST of Ambiences of the Carnival of Vinaròs.
    Sponsor: Department of Commerce of the Vinaròs City Council.

Friday February 10

  • 7:00 p.m. Wenceslao Ayguals de Izco Municipal Auditorium. Concentration of banners, queens and kings of Carnival with His Majesty Carnestoltes.
  • Then, parade with the band "All's Sex May Cowen" to the Carnival site for its inauguration.

Saturday February 11

  • 12:00 pm Reception at the City Hall of the Torrevieja delegation and authorities and subsequent visit to the Carnival museum.
  • 5:00 p.m. From the enclosure of booths and homes of each of the queens and kings, gathering and praise by the comparseros, with entertainment groups, brass bands, dulzaina and tamboril, sambeiros and batucada, to the Gala venue .
  • 5:30 p.m. Calle San Francisco with Avenida Febrer de la Torre.
    Opening of the doors of the venue with background music. DJs Isaac Sevilleja and Joan Martorell.
  • 6:30 p.m. GREAT GALA OF THE QUEENS AND KINGS OF THE CARNIVAL
    Presented by Raquel Martínez León and Javier Fresquet, with performances by the Locura dance academy, the Torrevieja guest Carnival, ”Aquí hay tomate”, Esmuvi music and dance school and Gentsana Gymnasium, Sponsored by: Vinaròs Town Hall and Castelló Provincial Council. Collaborates: Brial, Maderas Bas.
  • GALA OF THE QUEENS. PRICES AND SCHEDULES: The ticket to access the Grand Gala de las Reinas venue is priced at 10 euros on the track and 15 euros in the stands. The ticket entitles you to access the Grand Gala on Saturday, February 11 and also the children's gala on Sunday, February 12. Tickets can be purchased at the following hours at the COC point of sale at the Municipal Market: from Monday, January 30 to Friday, February 10, Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. 00 to 20:00, and on Saturday only in the morning from 10:30 to 13:00. Tickets can also be purchased at their point of sale at the same venue as the gala, on Saturday Saturday, February 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. until the start of the gala, and Sunday, February 12, from 4:00 p.m. until the start of the children's gala.

    FESTIVAL OF THE PAELLAS Concentration of the comparsas for the elaboration of the paellas.

    GRAND GALA OF CHILD QUEENS AND KINGS
    Presented by members of the ESO theater group and Puro Teatro 6th grade, performing arts: Áfira Aspachs, Nerea Bernabeu, Carmen Guardino, Claudia Pablo, Angelica Teodorescu, Elia García, Paula Vinuesa and Luca Dempere, with performances by the Maribel, Esplai, Locura and Gentsana gyms. (Doors open at 4:30 p.m.)

  • SENIOR PARTY
    Party for the elderly with the performance of a musical duo. There will be a tasting of cocs and cava for attendees. During the dance, the band will be imposed on the queen of the Third Age of Carnival 2023. Tickets are sold at €1, at the point of the COC at the Market, and associations of the elderly until Sunday the 12th.

    Town Hall Square. Greeting from His Majesty Carnestoltes to the boys and girls, and the parade begins with the “Béi a Band” brass band and music over the public address system, with the following route: Parroquial square, Jovellar, Socorro, Arcipreste Bono, País Valencià and Santa Magdalena to finish in the agora of Paseo Colón with chocolate for the participants. Churrería Hermanos Domingo collaborates.
  • 00:00 h Tent and throughout the Carnival booths.
    GREAT CRAZY NIGHT OF THE CARNIVAL with the performance of the MONTESOL orchestra.

Saturday February 18

  • 6:30 p.m. FIRST GREAT CARNIVAL PARADE. Route: Libertad avenue, Soro street (sambódromo), Pablo Ruiz Picasso street, Pio XII avenue, San Francisco street, Jovellar square, San Cristóbal street, Tres Reyes square and Puente street.
  • 24:00 h Tent of the Carnival site, Verbena with the performance of the orchestra "NO COMMENT".

Sunday February 19

  • 6:30 p.m. SECOND GREAT CARNIVAL PARADE
    Route: Libertad avenue, Soro street (sambadrome), Pablo Ruiz Picasso street, ave. Pio XII, San Francisco street, Jovellar square, San Cristóbal street, Tres Reyes square and Puente street.

Monday February 20

  • 6:30 p.m. Gardens of the Convent of Sant Francesc
    WAKE AND BURIAL OF THE SARDINE
  • 7:00 p.m. Final judgment to His Majesty Carnestoltes with the show by the Masters Ballet company and parade along País Valencià avenue, Santa Magdalena street and the port area to Fortí beach where, in front of the Biblioplaya, the burial of the Sardine and the “Cremà de SM Carnestoltes” by the dancer Ester Miralles.
    Crying and farewell to the procession until Carnival 2024
    Throughout the morning and afternoon, opening of the amusement fair next to the carnival site at popular prices.
