More information:

In 2024 we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first Pilgrimage in honor of the Virgin of the Viñas, Patroness of Tomelloso. The most characteristic and massive festival in the city, declared of Regional Tourist Interest. On the last Sunday of April Tomelloso celebrates the pilgrimage in honor of its Patroness.

In the Pinilla Sanctuary, four kilometers from the city, tens of thousands of visitors, friends and family gather during a weekend, and it is customary to parade in floats with current motifs or local tradition, as well as in the striking green floats. : agricultural trailers decorated with pine branches in which the local clubs are transported with all the preparations for an open-air party.

Another identifying and unique feature: the ropes, harnessed mules that pull carts. A tribute to this animal, the work force that made this land one of the largest vineyards in the world. The mules have artistic shearing and very striking handcrafted implements. The Torch Procession is one of the most emotional religious events: the faithful accompany the Patroness around the Sanctuary, praying in the darkness of the night before the big day.
